Grand Admiral Thrawn will battle a famous Star Wars military leader for the first time in the forthcoming Ahsoka season 2. Thrawn debuted in the Star Wars Legends continuity which, before April 2014, was the official Star Wars canon. Thrawn, like many other elements of the Legends continuity, gained a counterpart in the modern canon.
