The PlayStation 2, rather astoundingly, had a surprising amount of legitimately great movie tie-in games. Despite the genre typically being reserved for abysmal cheap cash-ins designed to make as much money as possible, there were quite a few on the PlayStation 2 that pushed the boundaries of what it meant to be a movie tie-in game and delivered an experience that both resonated with fans and brought something new to the table.
