Horror movies are dominating the box office on the opening weekend of The Exorcist: Believer. The new movie, which was released three weeks ahead of Halloween, is a legacy sequel that brings back the original character Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn) 50 years later. The movie, which was directed and co-written by David Gordon Green and is the intended beginning of a new trilogy, took No. 1 at the box office this weekend with a projected 3-day total of $28 million.
