Ayo Edebiri, who recently broke out in the fantastic FX series The Bear, has joined the cast of the Marvel movie Thunderbolts. She joins previously announced co-stars David Harbour as Red Guardian, Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier, Julie Louis-Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as US Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and of course, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova. Harrison Ford is also taking on the role of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross.
Jake Schreier is set as director of the new Marvel tentpole. Black Widow scribe Eric Pearson is penning the script, with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige producing. Not much is known about the plot of the film, but in the comics, it revolves around a group of villains who are sent on missions commissioned by the government.
Edebiri is a great actress, and I’m glad to see her join this film! Thunderbolts is set to hit theatres on July 26, 2024.
