The gimmicks that Pokémon has introduced in each generation are almost as iconic as the box Legendaries, but there are a few that definitely do not need to return for another game. Sometimes they are just unnecessary, while others actively get in the player's way. With Pokémon games evolving as quickly as they do, one can hope that they've moved past these bad ideas.
