A new trailer and poster have been released for the upcoming Hulu series Fleishman is in Trouble. The cast of the show includes Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Zombieland), Claire Danes (Romeo + Juliet, Homeland), Lizzy Caplan (Mean Girls, Castle Rock), Adam Brody (The OC, Shazam!), Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother), and Christian Slater (Heathers, Mr. Robot).
The series was written by Taffy Brodesser-Akner, who adapted the script based on her own novel. Shari Springer Berman, Robert Pulcini, Jonathan Dayton, and Valerie Faris all have directing credits on episodes of the series.
Here’s the synopsis:
Toby Fleishman (Jesse Eisenberg), a recently divorced forty-something year old man, now finds himself immersed in the world of app-based dating. But as he begins to find successes he never found in his youth, his ex-wife Rachel disappears without a trace, leaving him with only his kids. As he balances looking after his children, a promotion at the hospital where he works, and all the women in Manhattan, he realizes he'll never be able to figure out what happened to his wife until he can be honest about what happened to their marriage in the first place.
This sounds like a downer, but the cast is just so freaking good, I can’t wait to watch it. Check out the trailer and poster below, and watch Fleishman is in Trouble on Hulu starting on November 17th.
