The Umbrella Academy, which premiered on Netflix in 2019, is adapted from the comic book series of the same name by Gabriel Bá and My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way. Season 1 follows a ragtag group of former child superheroes who reunite to prevent an apocalypse, and subsequent seasons see them attempt to prevent a new calamity in 1960s America before returning to the present in an alternate timeline that forces them to deal with the Sparrow Academy, an improved version of themselves. The ensemble cast of the series includes Colm Feore, Emmy Raver-Lampman, David Castañeda, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Tom Hopper, and Oscar nominee Elliot Page.
