Warzone Hacker Gets Served Justice By Their Own Squadmates

It's common knowledge that Call of Duty: Warzone is filled with cheaters and hackers, but one group of players found a creative way to deal with one who was in their squad. One cheater was feeling bold and decided to squad up with a group of random players, either hoping they wouldn't mind his apparent hacking or simply would be too busy with other enemies to even notice.

Warzone has been plagued with cheaters for a while, but Activision is doing everything in its power to ban them quickly. All games have cheaters, but it has been far more prominent in recent Call of Duty games. It could be the heavy focus on cross-play has opened up console users to the reality of the franchise's PC experience, but it has significantly hindered Warzone's enjoyability.

One player, known as fukreposts on Reddit (via Dexerto), realized a squad-mate was cheating and promptly disposed of them. As the cheater rode on the roof of a jeep, firing at another squad, seemingly not missing a single bullet, the driver drove him into the ocean. Players on Reddit responded with praise, hailing the driver as a hero. Obviously, it's a temporary solution, but hopefully, Activision will ban the Warzone cheater.

Warzone's growing cheating problem is clearly getting on the nerves of players and although Activision is doing a lot to try to combat it, there's probably more that needs to be done. Cheating will always be an issue, but the fact that players are so universally frustrated highlights the severity of the issue. Whether Activision needs to invest in better anti-cheat technology or rework the infrastructure of its PC launcher to properly address this issue remains unclear.

Warzone is also upsetting players because of its somewhat recycled version of Verdansk that many players hoped would be an all-new map, many feel Activision hasn't done enough to keep the game feeling lively. Other battle royales have had massive map changes, insane events, but the Warzone event let some players down. On top of that, Warzone's cheating problem continues to be something that pushes players away. Activision does plan to keep supporting the game for years to come, so hopefully, it'll have larger content updates and squash its cheating problem. Regardless, it's still maintaining a larger player base than most games as Warzone recently surpassed 100 million players, though a percentage of those same players have likely been banned for cheating.
