Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Characters Ranked From Least To Most Likely To Win The Hunger Games

As a team of superhero teenagers, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are an iconic part of the '90s. When they first don the spandex and helmets, however, Zordon gives them a set of rules to follow, which includes things like not revealing their secret identities and never escalating a fight. That would be pretty difficult if they were put into a situation like The Hunger Games.

Through both The Hunger Games novels and films, the Games themselves are broadcast to the entire nation. There is no way to truly maintain secrecy. The entire competition is also to the death, which means it's nearly impossible for a contestant to avoid escalation of a fight either. With that in mind, which of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers has the odds of survival in their favor?

10 Trini

The original Yellow Ranger is incredibly smart, and an incredibly capable fighter. She picks up on scientific knowledge quickly and trains in multiple forms of kung fu. Though she might me the qualifications for a horror movie final girl, it wouldn't be enough to ensure her survival here.

In fact, Trini probably wouldn't last long in the Games at all. She's simply too nice. Trini is someone who would see the games for how unfair and biased they are. She would want to help the contestants who didn't have her advantages. While that might work in the short term, and she would make a few allies, they wouldn't last in the cutthroat competition. She would likely be betrayed by a more ruthless player.

9 Zack

Zack, like all of the Power Rangers, is a decent fighter. Unlike most of his friends, however, Zack's skills are more of a show. He combines his love for dancing with his knowledge of martial arts to create moves that look good, but aren't always super effective.

He might be able to use those skills to charm viewers in the Capitol, but they won't serve him well against other tributes who are armed to the teeth. His tendency to showboat would also make him an easy target.

8 Rocky

Rocky is a lot more impulsive than the rest of his teammates, which is why he lands so far down on the list. He's the one Power Ranger who is actually likely to end up caught up in the bloodbath that is the opening of the Hunger Games.

Rocky, knowing that survival is linked to what kind of supplies he can scrounge up, would likely try to swipe a weapon or a bag of food as the games open. Because he's a great fighter, he would likely make it out of the situation, but be left with a serious injury that would slow him down. Going after the supplies instead of getting as far from his opponents as possible would eventually be his downfall.

7 Billy

Billy might be the smartest kid at Angel Grove High School, but it's unlikely that would be enough to save him in the Games. He would certainly be one of the first tributes to figure out just how the arena worked, where the cameras were - and where their blindspots were - but that might not be enough to keep him safe.

Instead, fellow tributes would likely try to take advantage of his intelligence and betray him in the end. After all, the Power Rangers wouldn't be using their Morphers on camera in the arena, which would definitely leave them vulnerable. Billy isn't as skilled as his friends without the power of the morphing grid behind him.

6 Aisha

Aisha is a little harder to rank than most of her friends. Like Rocky, she's a fighter before she's a Power Ranger, and she's not nearly as impulsive as he is. Aisha, however, like Trini, is a lot more likely to come to the aid of her fellow tributes and try to help those who don't have her skills.

That would likely be her downfall. She'd make it pretty far in the Games until it got to the point where her alliance would have to be broken. Aisha wouldn't be willing to destroy people she considered her friends, though they wouldn't likely give her the same consideration.

5 Kat

When it comes to the Pink Rangers of the series, Kat has one advantage: she knows exactly how the bad guys think. That might help her out in the Arena as well.

Kat is pretty good at getting people to think she's on their side. After her experience being brainwashed, she manages to make both Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd think she's ready to rejoin them, distracting them from the other Rangers' true mission. Kat would only be able to keep up a charade for so long, however. Eventually, other tributes would find her out, and her fighting skills are definitely not at the same level as her friends.

4 Adam

When first introduced in the Power Rangers franchise, Adam is relatively quiet and tends to stay in the background. He's relatively observant, picking up on things about his friends that others don't. That might allow him a good advantage; he could hide out for a while and wait out the initial conflicts between tributes.

Like most of the Power Rangers, Adam is also adept at fighting before he becomes a superhero. He even trains in multiple styles and with multiple weapons, so he'd be a versatile fighter. Adam, however, would likely only fight to defend himself - and only to incapacitate his opponents. Someone would eventually get to him.

3 Jason

Jason is one of the strongest leaders any Power Rangers team has ever had. When it comes to the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, he even gives up his leadership position because it's what's best for the team. The trouble is, he wouldn't have a team behind him in the Hunger Games.

Jason is an incredibly capable fighter, and depending on the continuity of the series - whether it's television or comic book - he also has a bit of dark streak. He might not want to hurt people when he's chosen to enter the Games, but he absolutely would if he had to, and that would get him pretty close to the end. There are just a couple more Rangers who might be able to outlast him.

2 Tommy

Tommy begins his journey as a Power Ranger under the spell of Rita Repulsa. He torments the Rangers until he's able to break free of her influence and join the heroes. There is, however, a comic book universe in which Tommy Oliver goes bad. He becomes Lord Drakkon and takes over his world, finding a way to travel to alternate realities to increase his power.

If that desire for power and that capacity for darkness is in one Tommy Oliver, there's a chance that it exists in others. Tommy, like Jason, wouldn't want to hurt anyone, but to insure his own survival and to make sure he could continue to fight against the oppressive Capitol, Tommy would do whatever he had to do to make it to the end.

1 Kimberly

Kimberly, one of the most sensitive of Power Rangers, and one of the most often kidnapped in her early days with the team, might seem like an odd choice to survive the Hunger Games. She does, however, have a few advantages over her fellow Rangers.

For one, she actually learns how to use her bow very quickly. Kat doesn't get the chance to use the Pink Ranger's weapon often, but Kimberly is an expert, giving her a long range weapon ability for the Games, much like Katniss Everdeen herself. She's also pretty adept at pretending to be someone's ally. She fools her enemies, like pretending to be ready to be Zedd's new queen, on more than one occasion.

The biggest point in Kimberly's favor, however, comes from the comics. In the "Shattered Grid" event, Kimberly is a true survivor. She becomes the Ranger Slayer, but after all of the bad things she does, she also leads a new team and a revolution against her world's oppressors. She would do anything to survive and change the world.
