Hell On Wheels might have ended in 2016 but it still ranks as one of the most-watched AMC shows to date. It ranks behind The Walking Dead as the network's second-highest-rated original series. Even the best AMC series of all time, Breaking Bad, didn't quite reach the viewership figures of Hell On Wheels.

The Western drama—which chronicled the construction of the First Transcontinental Railroad across America—had a great cast that was responsible for much of the award nominations and wins. Where else has the cast appeared, though?

10 Anson Mount: Inhumans

In Hell On Wheels, Mount played a former Confederate Cavalry Captain named Cullen Bohannon who was eager to avenge the deaths of his family members. Mount also starred in Marvel's Inhumans. In the series, he portrayed superhero Black Bolt, the leader of the Inhumans Royal Family who had a powerful voice capable of causing destruction.

Inhumans aired on ABC in 2017 but the series was canceled after one season. The project was initially meant to be a Phase 3 MCU movie but a series was considered the better option. Sadly, reviews were negative.

9 Colm Meaney: Law Abiding Citizen

Meaney portrayed business mogul Thomas "Doc" Durant in Hell On Wheels. The Irish actor is well-celebrated in his home country. In 2020, he was ranked 24th in The Irish Times' list of Ireland's greatest film actors.

Meaney also starred in the thriller Law Abiding Citizen alongside Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler. He played Detective Dunnigan, a law enforcement officer who discovered that an inmate had been moving in and out of a prison to commit murders. Even though critics panned the movie, audiences loved it. As a result, it grossed $127 million at the box office.

8 Dominique McElligott: The Boys

Dominique McElligott was one of the lead actors on Hell On Wheels. She played a widow named Lily Bell whose husband was working on the transcontinental railroad project.

McElligott is also one of the lead actors in the critically acclaimed Amazon Prime series The BoysShe plays Queen Maeve who is part of a corrupt group of superheroes known as The Seven. Thanks to the popularity of the series, it has been renewed for a third season. A spin-off has also been ordered, too.

7 Common: John Wick - Chapter 2

Common is best known as one of Hip Hop's legendary rappers but he has numerous supporting roles in movies and TV shows too. In Hell On Wheels, he played a freed slave named Elam Ferguson who was trying to adjust to the chaotic world. He now worked as a security guard and assistant to Cullen Bohannon.

Common's most notable recent appearance is in John Wick: Chapter 2 where he played one of the antagonists named Cassian. A former acquaintance of John, he had become a henchman for crime lord Gianna D'Antonio.

6 Tom Noonan: 12 Monkeys

In Hell On Wheels, Noonan was Reverend Nathaniel Cole, a preacher who was eager to prevent bloodshed between Indians and white settlers. He appeared in a total of 17 episodes of the series.

The actor also starred in the Sc-Fi series 12 Monkeys. He played The Pallid Man, a member of the Army of the 12 Monkeys. The group released a virus meant to wipe out most of humanity. The series was well received by critics, with the third and fourth seasons being given a weighted average score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.

5 Eddie Spears: Longmire

Spears was Joseph Black Moon in the Western TV series. Moons, a Cheyenne Christian, was conflicted, not knowing whether to stick to his new beliefs or the practices of his ancestors.

Western was also cast in another popular Western series—Longmire. The A&E series was adapted from the Walt Longmire Mysteries series of novels by author Craig Johnson. Events revolved around an Absaroka County sheriff who worked around the clock to solve crimes. Spears played a man named Edwood in Season 3.

4 Chelah Horsdal: Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes

Horsdal played Maggie Palmer in Hell On Wheels. Palmer was one of the top businesswomen in Cheyenne. Thanks to her immense wealth, she invested in the Union Pacific Railroad.

In Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, Horsdal played a home aide nurse who took care of the protagonist's father who was suffering from Alzheimer's. Luckily, the father managed to regain functionality and intelligence after being given an experimental drug that was being tested on apes.

3 Bryona Mann: Arrow

In the Western series, Bryonna Mann was Chang, a Chinese man from Truckee who linked Chinese workers at the railroad with prostitutes and opium dens. Chang was first introduced in Season 5 where he was shown to be a smart and calculating man. His back was also full of whip scars, suggesting previous torture and captivity.

Mann also appeared in Season 1 of Arrow where he portrayed Yáo Fēi, a master archer, and Talia al Ghul's former student. For a brief moment, he served as the protagonist Oliver Queen's trainer.

2 Jake Weber: 13 Reasons Why

Weber has appeared in over 70 movies and TV shows in his career, In Hell On Wheels, he played the former military officer and Wyoming's first governor John Allen Campbell.

His other notable role was that of the bully Bryce Walker's father Barry Walker in 13 Reasons Why Weber has also appeared in the series Medium and in the 2004 remake of Dawn of the Dead.

Telek portrayed Ray Williams' wife Donna in the third and fourth season of the police procedural series Rogue. Despite lasting for four seasons, the series was heavily panned by critics.
