Here are the actors who play the new Mandalorians in The Mandalorian season 2, episode 3. The second season of The Mandalorian set up a broad premise to include more members of famous warriors. Din Djarin's (Pedro Pascal) mission is to find other Mandalorians who can tell him about the Jedi so he can return The Child aka Baby Yoda to his kind. Although the season 2 premiere included a tease of Boba Fett's return with Temuera Morrison's appearance, the second episode didn't end with Din completing his mission to find more.
Episode 3, titled "The Heiress," began with Din, Baby Yoda, and Frog Lady arriving at their destination on Trask. Frog Lady's husband was then able to point Din in the right direction to find more of his kind, although that led to the local Quarrens attempting to kill him and Baby Yoda. They were rescued by a squad of three new Mandalorians, and Din agreed to work with them in exchange for learning the location of a Jedi - revealed to be Ahsoka Tano.
The encounter with other Mandalorians was eye-opening for Din, as they don't live by the code he grew up on, and casually remove their helmets. This allowed The Mandalorian to feature the actors and actresses who were underneath the Mandalorian armor. Although two of them are brand new characters to Star Wars lore, one is familiar to those who have seen the Star Wars animated series.
Katee Sackhoff plays Bo-Katan Kryze in The Mandalorian season 2, episode 3. Sackhoff has a history playing Bo-Katan, as she voiced the character in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. This is Bo-Katan's live-action debut. While some might recognize her voice thanks to her previous experience playing the role, Sackhoff is an accomplished actress with plenty of big roles. She's best known for playing Lieutenant Kara "Starbuck" Thrace in Battlestar Galactica but has also appeared in The Big Bang Theory, The Flash, and most recently starred in Netflix's Another Life.
WWE star Sasha Banks plays Koska Reeves in the newest episodes of The Mandalorian. Her inclusion in season 2 was previously rumored. Those looking for that name in the credits won't see it, though, as she used her real name Mercedes Varnado for her acting debut.
The final new Mandalorian to appear in The Mandalorian season 2, episode 3 is Axe Woves. He is played by Simon Kassianides. The actor previously played Yusef in Quantum of Solace and had a recurring role as Sunil Bakshi in Agents of SHIELD. Kassianides most recently was a series regular on the USA drama Pearson.
