Some classic movies can never be remade due to the specific circumstances in which they were produced being impossible to recreate and possible copyright issues. Many famous movies should never be remade, but this might technically still be possible if the studio is determined enough to make it happen. Others are so associated with certain actors, directors, or the time in which they were made that a reboot is impossible, and if some ill-advised attempt came to pass anyway, it wouldn't really be that movie.
