S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is one of the most exciting upcoming horror games, but the lack of a clear release date for the title might actually be a good thing overall. Despite the numbered designation, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is the newest entry in a longer series of games than might be obvious, following up several games that were all released in the first decade of the 21st century. While the prior games act as a distinct trilogy, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 sets out on a newer path, obeying a similar structure to something like the jump from Assassin's Creed Revelations to Assassin's Creed 3.
