Doctor Who showrunner Russell T Davies reveals that the series' new 60th-anniversary title sequence almost featured a moment involving David Tennant and Catherine Tate that was ultimately removed following a poor reception by the crew. Tennant and Tate returned to lead the milestone celebrations across three specials, as the Fourteenth Doctor and former companion Donna Noble cross paths once more. The 60th anniversary also saw Murray Gold return to compose the score, with the original revival composer arranging a new rendition of the Doctor Who iconic theme tune to go alongside a new title sequence.
