There are several new pieces of information stemming from the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo and its related developer interviews, indicating many character and story surprises, as well as new and improved gameplay features. The title is a direct sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake and will continue telling the story of Cloud and his Avalanche companions as they venture through Gaia after the destruction of a large portion of Midgar. They search for Sephiroth, who may be the key to solving the problems that affect the planet – even if he is the largest threat to it as well.
