Cyberpunk 2077 appears to be enjoying a sudden surge in its player count, likely a welcome side effect from the recent release of Netflix's spin-off series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Despite a notoriously rough launch and a litany of controversies, Cyberpunk 2077 has come a long way and taken big strides in improving its players' experiences. Its rocky beginnings, however, have made it difficult for the game to retain a healthy player base, even with the wide-spanning improvements to the game. With the release of a critically popular Netflix series, old and new players now have the opportunity to revisit and experience the best version of Cyberpunk 2077.
