90 Day Fiancé: Why Memphis Is Smart To Lay Low On Social Media

Memphis Sandoval from 90 Day Fiancé has been keeping a low profile since breaking up with her husband, Hamza Moknii. The 34-year-old Memphis had been single for a while until she decided to settle down with Hamza, a younger man from a dating website. The distance between them didn’t matter to Memphis, and neither did the cultural, financial, or language differences when she flew to meet him face-to-face in Tunisia. When Memphis revealed her plan of getting married to Hamza within two weeks of meeting him, her decision was criticized by 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days viewers. The lies that Hamza had told Memphis made her cautious, but they didn’t end up stopping the wedding.

Hamza lied to Memphis about his age and told her that his mother was okay with them sleeping together when she clearly wasn’t. Yet, Hamza and Memphis got intimate on their first night together, only to end up disappointing his mom. When Memphis found out Hamza had added two years to his age, she decided she wanted a prenup. Two weeks was too little time for the document to be ready. Memphis eventually married Hamza in January 2022, only to spark breakup rumors even before the wedding was shown on 90 Day Fiancé. Around mid-February, fans realized that Hamza and Memphis had unfollowed each other. “Praying I can smile like this again,” Memphis had written in her Instagram Story after adding a happy picture of herself.

In the months that followed, Memphis gave many more clues about an apparent breakup with Hamza while not violating her NDA with TLC. However, in a post from April 27, which has her advocating breastfeeding and breast pumping, Memphis used the hashtag “#singlemomlife” and confirmed her 90 Day Fiancé relationship with Hamza had ended. Memphis suddenly started posting less and less of the passive-aggressive Instagram stories that fans were so used to watching her sharing. In a post from April 30, Memphis shared a drawing of her done by 90 Day Fiancé co-star Alina Johnson while mentioning, “People come in and out of your life for various reason.”  It was almost a month later, on May 20, that Memphis addressed her social media absence.

Memphis explained that she’s never been the type of person who uses social media constantly. “This last year being on that ‘show’ I felt I had to. I’m sorry to my TRUE FANS & REAL FRIENDS & FAMILY but MY PEACE means so much more! I’m LOVING LIFE AGAIN,” Memphis said. As per 90 Day Fiancé star Memphis, life is too short to be wasting it online,  revealing how she prefers taking “the kids” to the beach or park instead. Fans agreed that it was a good idea for Memphis to take a social media break since it is “beyond toxic.” Memphis may have realized that it’s better to keep things to herself and not air them out in public to simply avoid people from giving her advice or finding faults in her actions.

Even though Memphis may have confessed that she’s a single mom again, what went wrong between her and Hamza is not clear. The cryptic stories that Memphis posted just made fans support Hamza during the split. Fans accused Memphis of being foolish for marrying Hamza and getting pregnant within two weeks of meeting him. However, there could have been several things that weren’t shown to viewers. Meanwhile, Hamza is slowly losing sympathy for crying about how he’s been separated from his daughter at one moment, and posing for his modeling photos in Chicago the next. Hamza has also asked fans to not make any assumptions until the whole story reveals itself, as he hinted at him returning to 90 Day Fiancé. In that case, it’s in Memphis’ best interest, too, since the outcome of their storyline has somehow already been spoiled.
