The trailer has been released for Sylvester Stallone’s ultimate director’s cut of Rocky IV, entitled Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago and it’s exciting! I love this film and I’ve been looking forward to watching this ultimate cut of the film.
It has also been announced that the movie will be released in theaters on November 11th for and exclusive engagement being hosted by MGM and Fathom Events. That will be followed by a digital release on November 12th.
The movie features 40 minutes of never-before-seen footage including “more intense fight scenes.” Stallone will also broadcast live a Q&A in select Fathom locations nationwide along with a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the recut film.
Rocky IV is most triumphant sports-drama franchise and it follows world heavyweight champion Rocky Balboa (Stallone) as he defends his title once again, against Drago (Dolph Lundgren), a six-foot-four, 261-pound fighter who has the backing of the Soviet Union.
The movie also stars Brigitte Nielsen, Burt Young, Carl Weathers, Michael Pataki, Robert Doornick, Stu Nahan, Talia Shire and Tony Burton.
