Which Scott Pilgrim Character Are You Based on Your Zodiac Sign?

It's been more than a decade since Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was released, and 17 years since Brian Lee O'Malley's original graphic novel series first became a cult icon. There is truly something special about Scott Pilgrim in that it appeals to a wide demographic of people, be they classic comic book nerds or die-hard indie-heads.

Part of this widespread appeal is how different and versatile Scott Pilgrim's characters are, which makes them appealing to astrology devotees as well. With as diverse a cast as Scott Pilgrim has, there's truly a perfectly matched character for each zodiac sign.

11 Aries: Scott Pilgrim

Aries are typically fairly impulsive, preferring to live in the moment rather than fixate on "what if's" and the consequences of their actions. As a fire sign, they're always raring to go, and tend to approach life's hurdles with a zest that most people might find comical.

That is the eponymous Scott Pilgrim to a T. Scott is framed as a ditzy, unaware guy who is constantly barreling into unwise situations, from dating a high schooler to picking up a girl he met in a dream. Sure, he's "innocent at heart" (according to Ramona), but like a typical Aries, he seldom thinks before he acts.

10 Taurus: Wallace Wells

To put it simply, Tauruses just want to chill. They don't want any fuss in their life and are happiest when things are balanced and easygoing. But they're not lazy. In fact, they're some of the hardest workers out there.

This includes Taurus rep Wallace Wells. Wallace is unafraid to voice his opinions and grievances with Scott, but it's all in the name of fun for him, especially as shown by Kieran Culkin's brilliant portrayal of the character. He does have a sense of drive in his life, but because of how chill he is, many might not guess that right off the bat.

9 Gemini: Julie Powers

Geminis need to be everywhere at once, even at the risk of losing a solid sense of identity. They can assume any persona they need in order to get things done, and, boy, do they need to get things done. A Gemini's success is their utmost priority.

As the most cantankerous character in the supporting cast, Julie Powers really lets her Gemini side shine at all times. She's at every event, works every job, and knows everybody's business. That's her purpose in life: to be everywhere at once.

8 Cancer: Young Neil

Cancers have a reputation for being more than a little sensitive. They feel things very deeply and tend to take nearly every situation personally. That can be both a curse and a blessing, both for them and those around them. While they might not have the grandest aspirations, they're content as long as they're happy.

Young Neil's grand aspiration in that vein is just to be a part of it all. As a Cancer, he's constantly inserting himself into the main cast's hijinks and tends to get offended when his status is questioned. The moment above, the "greatest day of his life," was when Scott finally showed him some respect.

7 Leo: Lisa Miller

Leos are one of those signs that have a reputation beyond the realm of astrology buffs. They're consistently the life of the party and know how to get attention. Even the most introverted Leos have a way of grabbing people without having to try.

And while Scott met her when she was still just a teen figuring out her way in the world, Lisa Miller was always a total Leo. Her dream is to move to California and pursue acting. In the meantime, it's clear she enjoys seeming as cute as possible and saying what's on her mind.

6 Virgo: Stephen Stills

To an almost obsessive degree, Virgos pursue their passions with endless vigor and practice. They are tireless to achieve their goals, and the most frustrating thing for them is when their path is obstructed. Things get even worse when it's their own friends who get in the way.

As the "Dad" of Sex Bob-Omb, resident Virgo Stephen Stills embodies these feelings in their totality. The band is his life; even practice sessions in his living room are of the utmost importance to him. It would absolutely crush him to lose out while the going is good.

5 Libra: Stacey Pilgrim

Libras enjoy having a sense of stability in their lives, but this is more out of a need for harmony than anything else. Libras are all about living life righteously, and their senses of right and wrong are fairly immutable. They'll leave you alone, as long as you don't do anything to upset the balance of things.

Unfortunately for Stacey Pilgrim, she inhabits these Libra qualities all too well. Even though she's younger than Scott, she has to be the adult between the two of them, often chastising him for his lack of responsibility and ethics. The world seems to constantly test her, too, as can be seen when Wallace blatantly steals her boyfriend.

4 Scorpio: Envy Adams

Because of their fiery intensity, Scorpios are often mistaken for fire signs. But their passion belies a cool, calculated side, through which they're able to calmly manipulate and shape the world around them to their liking. It's no wonder this sign is so feared by others. Scorpios are quite a force to be reckoned with.

Truly, Envy is one of the most terrifying characters in the novels, as expertly conveyed by Brie Larson. She has a way about her that is exacting, cunning, and dangerous, and she seems to know this all too well. That said, she isn't evil. She just knows what she wants and is aware of how easily she can get it.

3 Sagittarius: Ramona Flowers

Every Sagittarius is a sojourner in their own way, seeking a quest of their own design in order to develop a sense of worldliness and wisdom. That, or they just want to get around and have fun. Either way, Sags are some of the most mutable people out there, and are therefore very difficult to tie down.

Who is the most mysterious, evasive girl in graphic novel history, if not Ramona Flowers? This sub-space superstar has always been on the move, flitting from partner to partner and always getting into impossible situations. She shows no sign of changing, either. It's just her nature to roam.

2 Capricorn: Gideon Graves

Mysterious, difficult to read, and as ephemeral as the magic they supposedly possess, Capricorns are able to transcend realms both physical and emotional with ease. As a result, they're incredibly good at reading people. With time, they can use this to their advantage.

Not everyone uses that gift benevolently, thought, and such is the case with Gideon Graves. As the final Evil Ex in Ramona's life, Gideon is the most selfish and insidious, with a talent for manipulating his partners and experimenting on them while they're vulnerable.

1 Aquarius: Kim Pine

Moody, introspective, and strange, Aquariuses are fairly unique people, even if they don't think they are. They tend to scoff in the face of conventions and are often miffed by the behaviors of others, yet their high emotional intelligence makes them all too aware of how others feel about them.

And while her intense demeanor might not convey this in a "classic" sense, Kim Pine is most certainly an Aquarius. She's abrasive on purpose, yet highly aware of her own shortcomings, therefore she tends to hide her insecurities behind a wall of sass. It's no wonder playing Kim was one of Alison Pill's best roles.

Pisces are described as having a little bit of every Zodiac trait, being that they're the last in the cycle. This means that they end up taking in all the lessons every sign learns. As a result, they're either wise beyond their years or incredibly naive and reckless.

In the case of poor Knives Chau, she is the latter sort of Pisces. High-schooler Knives deserved better than to hang out with a bunch of callous 20-somethings who made fun of her, not to mention a 23-year-old boyfriend who cheated on her. Understandably, she started to act out, just like a truly angry Pisces would do.
