Swinub will have its own Spotlight Hour for the month of June in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players how they can prepare for this upcoming event. Spotlight Hours last for a single hour once per week. In these events, a specific Pokemon will be placed at the center of attention. It's very similar to Community Day events as this single Pokemon will spawn much more frequently than normal. While mainline titles have every Shiny version of a Pokemon available in the game, Pokemon Go will release the Shiny version of said Pokemon at a later time, typically tied to a special event happening in the game. In this case, Swinub already has its Shiny form available in the game since Johto has been present for a few years now. With Spotlight Hour, players will have the chance to find their own Shiny Swinub. This guide will show players how they can prepare for this event.
Swinub Spotlight Hour will take place on June 22nd from 6 pm to 7 pm local time. During this time, Swinub will appear much more frequently. Not only that, but players will be able to earn twice the number of XP for evolving Pokemon during this time period. There are a few things players should do before the event begins to prepare. Here are some of the best tips available.
Here are a few things players can do to prepare for this upcoming Spotlight Hour.
- Favorite Pokemon You Want To Evolve: Tag the Pokemon that you have enough Candy to evolve before the event and evolve them during this event. This will save players tons of time between sorting through their Pokemon to evolve them.
- Lucky Egg: Use this item before evolving your Pokemon to increase the amount of XP you get by x4. This is a great method for earning a ton of XP.
- Shiny Swinub: While Shiny odds are not increased much during this event, there still is a chance to encounter a Shiny Swinub. To increase your chances of finding one, tap once on the map, and run away when it's not Shiny. This will save the player tons of time between encounters.
- Mamoswine: This is one of the best Pokemon in the game. If you're running short on candy, this is your chance to grind for some. Mamoswine only needs 100 candy and a Sinnoh Stone to evolve from a Piloswine.
Aipom will be taking over the next week after this one. Regardless, Swinub is an adorable little creature that you should add to your collection. This Spotlight Hour is the best chance to do that.
