Aragorn is one of the most important characters in the Lord Of The Rings franchise, going from a ranger to the King of Gondor throughout the trilogy. He is noble, kind, and trustworthy and will always stand up for what he believes in, while also having elements of mystery, as well, which makes him a more complex character.
He's one of the most skilled fighters in the movie, but he also shows an emotional side too, being able to talk to others about their feelings, which is why he became so popular. But out of everything that he achieved throughout the three movies, what are the nicest things Aragorn does?
10 He Is Not Tempted By The One Ring
The One Ring is something that ends up tempting a lot of the characters throughout the movies. Even those who don't touch it, like Gandalf, are aware of the powers it could give them and think about it. However, when Frodo tries to give Aragorn the One Ring, he is smart enough to turn it down.
He showcases his kindness, and despite the fact that it would make him immensely powerful, Aragorn pushes for the hobbit to keep it, despite the fact it would've been easy for him to just take it at that point.
9 "You Have My Sword"
When the Fellowship is first created, it initially comes together simply because they all know that they must protect Frodo. The hobbit is the only one willing to stand up and fight in the face of danger, which is incredibly brave, but Aragorn is quick to jump in and help him.
While Gandalf is the first to offer his help, Aragorn quickly follows suit. He makes it clear he will help Frodo in any situation, laying down his sword, which is a brilliant moment. It once again showcases what a caring person he is, with Aragorn happily helping others, no matter the risk.
8 Quest To Find Pippin & Merry
At the end of Lord Of The Rings: Fellowship Of The Ring, Aragorn showcases what type of person he is by making his big quest one to find Pippin and Merry. He is always looking out for other people and this is one of the best examples of that.
His niceness in needing to locate the two hobbits, despite not being entirely sure where to start or whether or not they're alive in the first place. Aragorn pushes to get them back at all costs, and that makes him so likable.
7 Calling Out The Army Of The Dead
When it becomes clear that more men are needed, Aragorn makes the decision to step up and go and get the Army of the Dead to live up to their promise to help. He goes in, initially planning to do it alone, but eventually is joined by Legolas and Gimli.
It's a great moment for Aragorn and showcases his true bravery. He's afraid of nothing and the fact that he challenges them without hesitation, knowing that it is necessary for the rest of the people, is one of his nicest moments.
6 Letting Down Eowyn
While some people did hope to see Eowyn end up in a relationship with Aragorn, that simply wasn't meant to be, despite how much she cared about him. However, Aragorn knew her feelings, and rather than being blunt about the other woman in his life, he let Eowyn down as gently as possible.
He showed his class and kindness as he knew that the words weren't what she wanted to hear. However, Aragorn was able to make it clear to Eowyn that a relationship wasn't on the card, and he did so in the kindest manner possible.
5 Boromir's Death
Boromir's death is one of the most emotional moments in Lord Of The Rings, but it is Aragorn who is there for him in his final moments. Not only does he fight against the orc that kills him, but Aragorn then sits with Boromir during his final seconds alive.
The two have a meaningful conversation where Aragorn accepts Boromir and the two men, who had previously had some tension, end up accepting each other and become true friends, which is a nice moment for them both.
4 "For Frodo"
All great leaders are able to galvanize their group, and before he leads the charge into Black Gates, that's exactly what Aragorn does. He gives an amazing speech, bringing everyone together, but it's the manner in which he wraps it up that is truly Aragorn at his nicest.
As he looks back to Gandalf, appearing to be emotional, Aragorn simply says "For Frodo," which proves what type of a person he is. Even ahead of the biggest battle, when they're seemingly facing an impossible task, he's still thinking about Frodo, trying to help him as much as possible.
3 Prancing Pony Plans
While Aragorn goes on to form a great bond with the hobbits, his first encounter with them comes inside the Prancing Pony. Aragorn goes out of his way to help them when they're dealing with the Black Raiders who are there, attempting to kill them.
Aragorn goes above and beyond, creating a unique plan to guarantee their safety. He doesn't need to help them as much as he does, but the fact that he does showcases what type of a hero he is right from the start.
2 Fighting Nazgul
Life doesn't get much easier for the hobbits once they leave the Prancing Pony, as they continue to be chased down. After they light a fire, they end up attracting more attention than they'd like, which leads to them having to fight the Nazgul.
However, once again, Aragorn comes in to save the day, fighting them all off with flames, showing his quality and skill as a warrior. Despite him being outnumbered, he is able to fight them back and save the group once again, proving what a nice person he is.
1 Aragorn Bends The Knee
The nicest moment of Aragorn's time in Lord Of The Rings comes at the end of his journey when he decides to take a knee to the hobbits. This moment comes when Aragorn is crowned as King, and because of that, everyone is bowing and showing respect to him.
Frodo, Sam, Pippin, and Merry all look to do that as well, but Aragorn stops this immediately. He tells them they bow to nobody, and he immediately takes a knee for them, which leads to everyone else doing the same. It showcases the respect he has for them and proves that even with the power of being King, he doesn't change.
