All Of White Vision's Powers, According To The Comics

WandaVision set up a potentially huge conflict for the finale with the introduction of the White Vision in episode eight. One possible prediction for the final episode is that Vision faces off against himself in a huge battle. Who would win?

Before fans make their decision or stream the last episode, some may want to learn a thing or two about this colorless construct. If one looks at the powers and abilities of White Vision, they may realize that Vision (and Wanda) could have quite a battle on their hands.

10 Intangibility

A core power of the White Vision is intangibility. His android body can become so light that he becomes immaterial, and can phase through solid matter at will. This extraordinary power is a product of both the mad genius of the evil android Ultron and the earlier work of Phineas Horton, who constructed the original android Human Torch.

This ability mitigates most offensive attacks by others, though, as Wanda showed in Captain America: Civil War, Vision is susceptible to her power. That may have been the Mind Stone though, which the White Vision of the MCU does not possess.

9 Density Manipulation

White Vision's ability to phase is a product of the synthezoid body's ability to alter its own mass. Vision can manipulate his own density, becoming lighter than air or on the other side of the spectrum, heavier than uranium.

Vision can become so dense that he can become invulnerable to any and all conventional attacks. He can accrue mass and grow in size, though this isn't an ability that either the White Vision or his traditional counterpart ever really displays in the comics.

8 Flight

Thanks to his ability to make himself light, White Vision can literally float on air. He can fly at great heights and speeds, which makes him a potent offensive and defensive asset. White Vision can also fly at great altitudes and even in space since he doesn't need to breathe, which makes him a truly global threat.

For SWORD in WandaVision, that's likely a feature they would love to exploit in the future. For the case of Westview, it's likely he will stay much closer to the ground in the battle against the 'Scarlet Witch.'

7 Super-Strength

White Vision is comprised of synthetic materials in the comics, whereas in the MCU he's completely made of vibranium. While this makes him very strong to begin with, his ability to alter his density and become heavier means that he is as physically powerful as Avengers counterparts - like Captain America or Thor.

The original Vision was trained in hand-to-hand combat by Captain America in the comics, which means that the White Vision retained all of this knowledge and ability as well.

6 Super-Speed

Vision's super-speed was never really seen in the MCU until WandaVision. Unfortunately for Wanda and her family, the White Vision possesses it too. The limits of his speed haven't been defined in the comics, but his ability to fly in space would mean that, in orbit, he is moving as fast as something like the space shuttle - which is over 18,000 miles an hour. The Scarlet Witch possesses many extraordinary powers, but in Westview, she might be outmatched if she can't even see the White Vision coming.

5 Technological Interfacing

The White Vision is a synthezoid, and like ordinary computers, he can interface with others. His concept of interfacing is much more than just establishing a connection though. The White Vision is effectively a living cloud computer.

His internal computer systems are beyond cutting-edge and provide a universal interface with other systems, extensive data storage, and holographic projection. This allowed him to take over all the computers in the world in the Absolute Vision storyline in 1985, which led to the events of Vision Quest.

4 Solar Energy Absorbtion

In the MCU, The Vision power derives from the Mind Stone (one of the six Infinity Stones). However, in the comics, this isn't the case at all. His powers, and likewise the White Vision's, flow from the solar gem in his forehead. The gem absorbs solar energy, collects sunlight to provide energy for him, which he can run on virtually indefinitely. This makes Vision an early model of solar energy, though the technological benefit of that technology was never really distributed through the rest of the Marvel Universe.

3 Energy Beams

The solar gem collects energy and White Vision can use it to fire energy beams back out. These range in yield and destructive force. He is capable of discharging this energy as optic beams from his eyes and the beams can vary in type (between infrared and microwave radiation). He can also generate a massive energy burst all at once, though this depletes his reserves.

The White Vision in the MCU does not have the Mind Stone or a solar gem analog (or so it seems), which means that he doesn't have this offensive capability.

2 Regeneration

The Vision is always a work in progress. In many ways, White Vision is emblematic of this. Though he lost all of Vision's mind and spirit, his memories eventually resurfaced. This is in part due to Vision's innate ability to upgrade and restore himself. He is always seeking ways to improve himself for operation and higher functionality.

More recent advancements in the comic books include the use of nanotechnology, which allows him the ability to shape-shift. He can also create other synthezoids, as he did in the 2016 Eisner Award-winning miniseries The Vision (a key comic book influence on WandaVision).

1 Super Intelligence

His ability to improve himself and replicate other synthezoids is a product of his supreme intelligence. That's essentially all White Vision had left, after much of who had been The Vision had been stripped away when the government dismantled him. White Vision is cold in his intelligence, but practical.

He is one of the most intelligent characters in the comics and is likely one of the smartest people in the MCU. His intelligence did lead to a curiosity about his former life in the comics, which may happen in WandaVision as well.
