Supernatural Cast Is Already Doing A Reunion | Screen Rant

WARNING: Spoilers for Supernatural season 15

The cast and crew of Supernatural are already having a reunion, not even a month after the show finished its 15th and final season. The show became one of the most beloved and celebrated fantasy series in recent history during the course of its extended run on The WB and The CW. While fans seem divided on how Supernatural wrapped up its last season, the series’ impact and dedicated following will likely endure for years to come.

Supernatural’s conclusion has been seen by many as one of the most significant television events of the year. As streaming platforms become more numerous and increasingly the de facto home for the most popular shows, The CW’s simple series about two demon-hunting brothers remained a staple of network programming, and the fantasy genre at large. The show’s final run of episodes included several controversial choices however, including an admission of love from Castiel (Misha Collins) to Dean (Jensen Ackles) that was quickly followed by Cas’s death, and an unceremonious end for Dean via random vampire attack.

Now that the show is officially over, some of the cast and crew are reuniting for another cause. This Tuesday, December 8th, at 9:00 p.m. EST, stars Misha Collins, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki will join series creator Eric Kripke in a conversation with political activist Stacey Abrams. Announced by Kripke on Twitter, the event is meant to both celebrate the series and bring attention to Abrams’s voting rights organization Fair Fight. You can see Kripke outline details of the event below.

Fair Fight is a Georgia-based organization dedicated to the support of voting rights, which fights voter suppression primarily through litigation and grassroots organizing. The organization, led by Abrams, fights legally against methods of voter suppression like poll closures, arduous wait times, and voter purges (the deletion of names from voter registration lists), according to their website. The event with the Supernatural cast is one of many recent initiatives to help spread awareness of voting rights and voter suppression leading into Georgia’s senatorial runoff elections in January.

In addition to her activism work, Abrams is also a devoted fan of fantasy series like Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. For other fans of the show, any chance to see the cast reunited is surely welcome. The cast and crew will be giving away show merchandise and set props as part of the event as well. While the series is finished for now, both Ackles and Padalecki have expressed their interest in returning to Supernatural somewhere down the line.
