The Real Housewives of Orange County fans are curious about how Sean Burke is reacting to his wife Braunwyn coming out as a lesbian. The mother has made it clear that she has no plans to divorce Sean even though she is in a new relationship.
During her revealing interview, Braunwyn filled fans in on where she and Sean stood in their relationship. The two are currently living under one roof and raising their children. Bravo viewers knew that the couple had an open relationship and had dated other people. The couple has been married for 20 years, but Braunwyn got the last word saying, "But I'm not attracted to men, and I never have been."
The Bravo star opened up about her sexuality in an interview with GLAAD, where she officially became the first openly gay housewife. Braunwyn is welcoming her true self as she tried to figure out who she truly is at the age of 43. While Sean is said to be supportive, fans can't help but wonder what he truly thinks of his wife dating another woman.
If you take a look at Sean's Instagram account, you can see a jovial guy who enjoys posting pictures of his children, with the last one being of holiday cheer, reading, "Happy Holidays! Apparently, they all made it on the 'nice' list!" The last photo of him and his wife was seven weeks ago. Bravo fans have often felt that Braunwyn wore the pants in the relationship while Sean just went along for the ride. More often than not, you would see Sean being silenced or shut down on the episodes, and he seemed happy to take a back seat. But was Sean content for far too long? Since his wife came out of the closet, he has not publicly posted any support or comforting words towards her. Many fans have taken to posting on his comments that they felt bad for him. The fact that he may have been duped into a two-decade relationship with a woman who had no idea who she was has not sat well with some fans.
The couple has decided to continue to stay married while the mother of seven engages in a new relationship. There has been no hint as to whether or not Sean is involved with anyone new, but one would assume he will not stay single forever.
